When to call the pediatrician vs when to wait

A calm, plain reference for those 2am moments in the first year.

Team BuddingWondersMembers only10 min read

Almost every first-time parent will, in the first six months, sit up in bed at 2am wondering: is this a call-the-doctor moment, or is this a normal newborn thing? The honest answer is that most of the time it is a normal newborn thing. But the anxiety is real, and it helps to have a plain, calm reference you can consult without panic.

This guide is not a substitute for your pediatrician. If your gut is telling you something is wrong, call. Trusting a parent's instinct is one of the oldest, most reliable pieces of medical wisdom there is. This is a starting frame, not the final word.
